French Rugby Short Description
Since English traders first brought rugby to the ports of Bordeaux, rugby has been the number one sport in southwest France, where it remains more popular than football.
Today the nation is a veritable powerhouse, attracting many of the world’s top talents who are looking to test their mettle in the ferocious Top 14 and Pro D2 competitions.
Unfortunately, while all that imported talent makes for exciting competition, it has left the nation starved of world cup glory. Despite competing in every edition since 1987, it has yet to win a single cup.
