The 2024 F1 Spanish Grand Prix looks set to be one of the most exciting in recent memory.
Taking place over the weekend of June 21 – June 23, the F1 Spanish Grand Prix takes place Sunday, 23 June. This 66-lap race is guaranteed to be gripping from start to finish.
Held at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, the F1 Spanish Grand Prix has taken place 63 times since it was first held all the way back in 1913. The race itself is 191.645 miles (308.424 km) long, with a circuit length of 2.905 miles (4.675 km).
Both Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton hold the record for most wins at the F1 Spanish Grand Prix, with 6 a piece, whereas Ferrari is the constructor who has enjoyed the most success here over the years, with 12 wins.
The 2023 F1 Spanish Grand Prix saw current champion Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing pick up the win for the second year in a row, doubling down on his 2022 win. But can he pull off the hat-trick?
F1 Spanish GP Information, Analysis
F1 Spanish GP Prediction Course Details
The weather of any Grand Prix is always a big focal point. And for good reason. The weather can influence the outcome of the race in a number of ways, and can also make for some very exciting viewing.
Last year the weather was warm and sunny, so what can we expect this time around?
Well, as the weather in Barcelona is pleasant much of the year, blue skies, a gentle breeze, and warm sunshine would be the best bet.
Temperatures can get very warm that time of year, so we’d expect 27c – 31c on average.
Rain is also very unlikely unless a freak thunderstorm does break out, which is certainly not out of the question.
F1 Spanish Grand Prix Odds to Win — Who to Watch
With so many drivers performing so well in 2023, who should we keep an eye on at the 2023 F1 Barcelona Spanish Grand Prix?
Charles Leclerc Odds
So far this season, Leclerc has finished on the podium in about half the races he’s finished. That alone gives his a 50-50 shot at a podium for the 2024 F1 Spanish Grand Prix. Let’s also not forget he’s performing solidly in the Driver’s Championship standings.
About the only thing going against him is he’s yet to podium at the Spanish GP throughout his career. Will 2024 be a first?
Sergio Perez Prediction
Sergio Perez of Red Bull had an incredible 2022 F1 Spanish Grand Prix, finishing second. He backed that up with a reasonable fourth last year and, had it not been for his teammate Max Verstappen looking so dominant, he could very well have been pushing for a Driver’s Championship.
With a solid track record at the F1 Spanish Grand Prix and such a strong performance this year, there’s a good chance we’ll be seeing Perez on the Podium.
Max Verstappen Odds
Max Verstappen is currently in the form of his career and is the hottest commodity in F1 racing.
Because he secured the championship in such a dominant fashion in 2022. And then did it again in 2023. And let’s not forget he also won the F1 Spanish Grand Prix in spectacular back-to-back in 2022 and 2023. Without a doubt, he has to be the one to watch in Barcelona.
Carlos Sainz Jr. Odds
Carlos is another driver who’s been performing strongly in 2024, with his results including multiple podiums and a win at the F1 Australia Grand Prix. And we can’t deny the home-crowd advantage he could enjoy.
Like Leclerc, though, Sainz is another driver who’s yet to podium at the Spanish GP. Let’s see if he can make it in 2024.
