Sunday, 25th of August, the 2023 F1 Dutch Grand Prix takes place in Zandvoort. Considering last year’s event, and indeed, last year’s season was so exciting, the 2024 Dutch Grand Prix is one of the summer’s most eagerly anticipated Grand Prix events.
The driver who has enjoyed the most wins here is Scottish F1 legend Jim Clark, with 4 wins, while the Constructor with the most victories is Ferrari, with a very impressive 8 wins.
2023 saw a dominant performance from Max Verstappen, but can history repeat itself once more, or will Max be de-throned? Here’s what you can expect from the 2024 F1 Dutch Grand Prix.
F1 Dutch GP Information, Analysis
F1 Dutch Grand Prix Prediction Course Details
Having first taken place in 1950, the F1 Dutch Grand Prix takes place at the Circuit Zandvoort, North Holland, the Netherlands. The course consists of 72 laps, with a race length of 190.504 miles (306.587 km), with each circuit being 2.646 miles (4.259 km).
In total, the track features 14 corners, including the famous Arie Luyendykbocht which is banked at 18 degrees, catapulting drivers into the final straight where they can hit top speeds well in excess of 300km/h.
Weather
At last year’s F1 Dutch Grand Prix, the weather was wet and cloudy, with the main even affected by the wet conditions. But what does that mean for 2024?
Being held in August, you can usually expect warm temperatures of between 22c and 27c on average. It is typically dry with sunny spells and a fairly large amount of cloud coverage, though the wind should not be a factor.
With that said, as 2023 demonstrated, rain is always possible, especially in the form of a thunderstorm if it is warm and humid enough.
Generally, however, expect it to be warm and dry with sunny intervals.
F1 Dutch Grand Prix Odds to Win — Who to Watch
With so many drivers performing so impressively at the moment, it’s worth keeping an eye on everybody. There are, however, some names that really stand out.
Max Verstappen Odds
We know we keep talking about Max, but considering he had the best seasons of his career in 2022 and 2023, you’d expect similar things from him in 2024.
The last two years, Belgian-Dutch Max took pole position with a time of 1:10.342 and 1:10.567, respectively. He also too the fastest lap in 2022 on lap 62, with a time of 1:13.652, and of course, he picked up the win here. In 2023 he only managed the 2nd fastest lap (1:13.889), but ultimately won the race anyway.
With performances like that, you can’t help but keep an eye on him.
George Russell Prediction
George Russell of Mercedes is proving himself to be a very worthy driver for the Constructor, with many even calling for him to become their number-one driver instead of Lewis Hamilton. Considering he took 2nd place at the F1 Dutch Grand Prix in 2022, it’s easy to see why that is.
With that said, George posted a disappointing result here last year, finishing in 17th position — the last driver to actually finish the race.
Naturally, George will be keen to impress again in the Netherlands and will be fighting hard to be in the mix for a podium finish.
Lando Norris Odds
Lando Norris has been the quiet achiever this year, bagging multiple podiums on his way to his current third place in the overall driver’s championship standings. However, while he has potential, he hasn’t had much luck at the Dutch Grand Prix, finishing seventh in both 2022 and 2023 — we imagine he’ll be looking to change that this year.
Charles LeClerc Prediction
Charles LeClerc of Ferrari finished in 3rd place at the 2022 F1 Dutch Grand Prix, only to follow that up with a DNF in 2023.
He will be looking to make up for this while also being the thorn in the side of Max Verstappen in 2024, so expect him to be hot on the heels of the defending champ whenever possible.

Prediction for F1 Dutch Grand Prix in 2024
2022 and 2023 saw Max Verstappen dominate the F1 Dutch Grand Prix, but will that happen again in 2024? Here are our predictions.
- 1st place — Max Verstappen: Max will have the fans behind him, his confidence will be through the roof, and he has proved to feel more at home on the Circuit Zandvoort than anywhere else.
- 2nd place — Charles LeClerc: Charles finished 3rd here in 2022 and 2nd place overall. He will look to improve upon this and pile as much pressure on Max and Red Bull as possible.
- 3rd place — Sergio Perez: George may have only finished 4th here last year, but we feel he has the competitive edge needed to make the podium this year. At least, that’s what we think.
As for constructors, we’re picking Red Bull for the F1 Dutch Grand Prix 2024. Max will likely pick up the win, and if Sergio Perez can improve upon his 4th-place finish in Zandvoort from last year, Red Bull will likely pick up the win. It will, however, be close between Red Bull, Ferrari, and Mercedes.
