F1 Italian Grand Prix Odds and Prediction Monza 2023

Please note, this prediction is now outdated and will be updated for 2024 shortly. For a list of all up-to-date picks and tips for upcoming races, visit our F1 Grand Prix Predictions.

Known by the locals as Gran Premio d’Italia, the F1 Italian Grand Prix boasts a storied history as the fifth oldest national Grand Prix globally. The race has been a constant fixture on the motor racing calendar since 1921, following the establishment of the French Grand Prix, the United States Grand Prix, the Spanish Grand Prix, and the Russian Grand Prix.

The 2023 F1 Italian Grand Prix edition promises to be a true nail-biter that’s set to take place at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, or just Monza.

Previous winners at the track include household names, like Michael Schumacher of Germany, who has graced the winner’s podium a total of five times. This performance has only been equaled by Lewis Hamilton, who, at the 2023 F1 Italy Grand Prix, will no doubt be looking to steal the all-time record and secure a sixth win.

As to whether he can actually pull it off, that will depend on a whole bunch of things going his way. Let’s take a closer look at this 2023 F1 Italian Grand Prix prediction.

F1 Italy GP Information and Analysis

F1 Italian Grand Prix Prediction Course Details

As we’ve already mentioned, the F1 Italian GP will take place at Monza. The race itself will cover 53 laps which, with a lap distance of 5.793-kilometre, will come out to a total distance of just over 300km.

But while this is standard fare for F1, except the race to be a relatively quick one. Monza is often referred to as the “Temple of Speed” as it is one of the fastest circuits on the F1 calendar. With a combination of long straights and only a few chicanes, drivers can reach speeds of over 350 km/h, making for thrilling, high-speed racing.

With that said, with the race taking place in September, increasing rainfall in the region means there is always the risk of rain to slow things down. Given clear skies, the temperature should be up in the low-to-mid twenties.

F1 Italy Grand Prix Odds to Win — Who to Watch

In the last three years, the winners at Monza were Max Verstappen for Red Bull (2022), Daniel Ricciardo for McLaren (2021), and Pierre Gasly for AlphaTauri-Honda (2020). Each of these drivers will be competing in the 2023 edition.

Daniel Ricciardo Odds

Now racing for Alpha Tauri, Daniel Ricardo hasn’t been having the best season and is currently last in the rankings. But don’t rule him out entirely. Having already won here, he’s shown that he has what it takes. The only question is, can he overcome being excluded for 6 months  to get onto the podium?

Max Verstappen Prediction

After dominating 2022, both in the driver standings and at the F1 Italian Grand Prix here at Monza, it’s hard to deny Max Verstappen his rightful place as one of the favorites to win this year. Especially given his total domination this year.

Pierre Gasly Betting Tips

Pierre Gasly is only an outside chance at this year’s race, but don’t count him out entirely. Sitting at 11th overall this year and having previously won in 2021 (a year where he finished 10th in the standings), he’s not without his chances at the 2023 F1 Italian Grand Prix.

Charles LeClerc Prediction and Odds

After qualifying for poll position, Charles LeClerc only just missed out on a first-place finish at the 2022 F1 Italy GP, finishing just 2.446 behind Verstappen. With that said, he hasn’t been having as strong of a year as he did in 2022, so it will be interesting to see what kind of result he can pull at Monza in 2023.

F1 Schedule – Next Race

After a very iconic race in Monza, we have a weekend off to lower our adrenaline. Straight after that, we go into the F1 Singapore GP, looking for another great race.

Prediction F1 Italian Grand Prix 2023

The prediction for F1 Italy Grand Prix 2023 is as follows:

  • 1st Place — Max Verstappen: After a win at Monza in 2022, and the dominance he and the Red Bull team have shown this year, any driver wanting to take first place at the F1 Italian Grand Prix 2023 is going to have a hard time beating Max.
  • 2nd Place — Charles LeClerc: While he might not be having the season he had in 2022, LeClerc has still been holding his own. And, after showing he had the goods to bring home the results at Monza last year, we have no doubt he’ll be up to the task again.
  • 3rd Place — Lewis Hamilton: Lewis continues to show he has what it takes to make the podium. However, the last time he won at Monza was back in 2018, and we don’t expect that to change this year.

In terms of predictions for F1 Italy Grand Prix 2023 constructors, expect Red Bull to dominate, followed closely by Ferrari and Mercedes.
