How Many Teams Compete in UEFA EURO 2024

For the UEFA EURO 2024, a total of 24 teams will be competing to become the official champions of European football. However, this 24-team format hasn’t been a permanent feature of the EURO.

In fact, back in 1960, during the EURO’s early days, the European champion title was contested by just 17 teams, including one you won’t see anymore: the Soviet Union.

What Is the Format of UEFA EURO 2024?

The UEFA EURO 2024 will follow the traditional format we now see in most major tournaments. Roughly speaking, the tournament will take part in two stages — the group stage, and the final knockout stages.

For example, if you bet $80 on Italy, you’ll win a total of $1.75 for every dollar you bet. In this case, that works out to $140.
