After all the excitement, thrills, and spills of the 2022 Formula One season, all eyes are now firmly fixed on 2023, and for good reason. While there are countless Grand Prix events to look forward to, one of the most eagerly anticipated events is the F1 Monaco Grand Prix, which is always a fan favorite.

The F1 Monaco Grand Prix never fails to disappoint. Thanks to its unique winding streets, its lavish location, and the often unpredictability of the weather, the F1 Monaco Grand Prix always attracts big names and big numbers from the world of Hollywood, F1, and beyond.

Taking place on the weekend of May 26 – May 28 at the Circuit de Monaco street circuit, the race itself will be held Sunday, May 28 and can be traced back nearly a century, as it was first held way back in 1929.

The course, renowned for its narrow winding twists and turns, consists of 78 laps and stretches for a total of 161.734 miles (260.286 km). Each circuit length is 2.074 miles (3.337 km).

The 2022 F2 Monaco Grand Prix proved to be eventful, to say the very least, so what can fans expect for 2023?

F1 Monaco GP Information, Analysis

F1 Monaco Grand Prix Prediction Course Details

One of the most exciting things about the F1 Monaco Grand Prix is the unpredictability of the weather.

In late May, the weather in Monaco is largely warm and sunny, though as we found out in 2022, it can also get very wet, very quickly. The 2022 F1 Monaco Grand Prix was delayed for over an hour due to heavy rain being predicted, meaning that teams would be forced to switch to wet tires before the start of the race. Just because it rained in 2022, however, that certainly doesn’t mean that 2023 will also be wet.

Based upon past experiences of the event, warm sunshine, partly cloudy conditions, and warm temperatures between 24C – 29C is the most likely, with fairly breezy coastal conditions. There is, however, always a chance of a rain shower.

F1 Monaco Grand Prix Odds to Win — Who to Watch

The 2022 F1 Monaco Grand Prix was won by Red Bull’s Sergio Perez. Can he repeat history and win again in 2023? We certainly wouldn’t put it past him, and he’s certainly one, of many, to watch. The Monaco F1 race comes right before the F1 Spanish GP in Barcelona.

Sergio Perez Odds

As mentioned, Sergio Perez won this Grand Prix last year and looked very impressive for the remainder of the 2022 season.

The Mexican veteran of Red Bull Racing has looked incredibly sharp in recent Grand Prix races, and after signing a two-year contract extension to stay with the Constructor until the end of 2024, he’ll certainly be looking to prove that he’s every bit as capable as his teammate and current champion Max Verstappen.

Lewis Hamilton Prediction

Despite Lewis Hamilton experiencing a less-than-stellar 2022 season, you simply cannot count out this legend of motor racing.

Not only is Hamilton still chasing his 8th Driver’s Championship and the chance to make history, he is also a very capable street racer. As the F1 Monaco Grand Prix circuit is arguably the most famous street racing circuit in the world, the Mercedes legend will certainly be in his element here.

Charles LeClerc Odds

Of course, Charles LeClerc has to be mentioned when talking about the F1 Monaco Grand Prix, as this will be his homecoming.

LeClerc has proved to be a strong street racer anyways, but, add to the fact that this will be a Grand Prix on home soil for the young driver, and it’s easy to see why the Ferrari ace is one to watch.

Red Bull Prediction

As far as constructors go, Red Bull is certainly the one to watch.

With both Perez and Verstappen driving arguably better now than ever before, it’s easy to see why Red Bull will be the team to watch in Monaco.

F1 Schedule – Next Race

We have 3 racing weekends in a row, and there’s no time to waste! Right after the Monaco GP, comes the F1 Spanish GP in Barcelona, a circuit full of history that always provides a good show.

Prediction F1 Monaco Grand Prix 2023

In the 2022 F1 Monaco Grand Prix, the weather was so extreme and unpredictable that the results didn’t go the way many had predicted at the start. Will history repeat itself again, or will we see an upset? Here’s what we think.

Our pick for 1st place is the hometown hero Charles LeClerc. LeClerc had Pole Position last year and finished in 4th place. This year, we’re predicting the hometown advantage will work in his favor and help him secure the win.

In 2nd place, we’re going with Red Bull’s Sergio Perez, not only because he’s one of the best street racers in F1 at the moment, but also because he’s had such an impressive 2022 season.

For 3rd place at the F1 Monaco Grand Prix 2023, we’re going with reigning champion Max Verstappen for obvious reasons.

As far as constructors go, we’re predicting a Red Bull whitewash, although if LeClerc does pick up the win and Carlos Sainz Jnr performs well, Ferrari could seal the deal. We’re going with Red Bull Racing, however.
