Boca vs Lanus

German Bundesliga 2022-23 Season Recap

While Bayern München has sealed an utterly ridiculous 11th straight Bundesliga title, its dominant streak doesn’t mean that title came easy.

In fact, the title race was so close that Bayern München only just snatched the title from Borussia Dortmund with a last-minute 2-1 win over Köln in the final round. That, combined with their 15-goal superiority in goal difference, was what scraped them slightly ahead of Borussia Dortmund.

At the other end of the table, Darmstadt and Heidenheim have both ended the season on a massive downer, with relegation now a certainty. Spanish La Liga 2022-23 Season Recap

If you’ve been following La Liga this season, then there are no surprises here — Barcelona secured a resounding title victory with a massive 11 points separating it from closest rival Real Madrid.

The battle to avoid relegation, however, has been anything but clear-cut. While bottom finisher Elche was long out of the race weeks ago due to a massive points deficit, 19th-placed Espaynol at least stood a chance until the last minute.

As for the final relegation slot, that went right down to the wire, with everyone from the 13th-18th place on the table heading into the weekend just passed at risk. In the end, Valladolid landed there and will now join Elche and Espanyol in the second division for 2023-24.
