At the moment, the Bills are in another good vein of form, though, and the top spot is theirs to lose. However, knowing that Von Miller will be out for the rest of the 2022 season with a torn ACL will be the last thing fans want to hear.

There’s still plenty of quality spread throughout the squad, so it’s not too much of a crushing blow, but any losses from here on out will inevitably be followed by the wondering of what could’ve been had Von Miller been present.

The side’s been having problems with niggling injuries all season, and getting players rests at the right time is key if the Bills want to find the right balance between performing as well as they can for the rest of the regular season and fulfilling their potential should they reach the postseason.

The Bears’ season is very much on the other end of the spectrum. Quarterback Justin Fields’ rushing game has been the one saving grace in an otherwise rough year for Chicago. It’s nightmarish to think where the side would be without him, with few in his position performing at his level this year and the team still only having a record of 3-10.

That record may look a bit better if Fields didn’t have a spell on the injury table, but so much reliance on one player would never be sustainable. The side desperately needs to sort out their defense and provide their QB with more offensive support if they want to dig out a couple more wins before the season’s over. If Fields gets injured again, fans will be freaking out about where their points will come from.
